Empower was founded by an experienced early childhood teacher and passionate mum who understands firsthand the challenges and joys of raising and educating young children.

“It all shifted for me when I became a parent. It changed how I viewed early childhood education. I still remember the moment—sitting with my team, reflecting for hours on what truly matters, what we stand for, and what kind of impact we want to make.”

From that moment on, we knew our approach to early learning needed to evolve—to become more intentional, more attuned to families, and more focused on laying strong, lifelong foundations.

We want to spend more time savouring each days valuable moments, experiences with your child and building their foundations in the preparation to transition to primary school. So, all our decisions are guided by three core beliefs.

From the simple things to the more complex you can count on us to be passionate. Intentional – We will plan and act with purpose and care. We will document our intentions, and your child’s learning and development. Responsive – We will watch and listen for your child’s verbal and non- verbal signals and act promptly in ways that relate to what they tell us.

Safety, diversity and helping you is our highest priority. Predictable – We will behave in a way that is expected and consistent. Attuned – We will sensitively observe in order to join your child on their “inner journey” and be in harmony with them. We will focus on your child’s vocalisations, body language, and facial expressions in order to understand what they need, want and feel.
